Description
The campus is located in Soto de Viñuelas, an affluent residential neighbourhood of Madrid, which is to the North of the city centre. It offers facilities specifically built for children between the ages of 20 months and 18 years (from Pre-Nursery to Year 13) and has a capacity for more than 1600 students. It is located in an attractive 12 acre site in the countryside between the city and the Guadarrama Mountains, but is well connected to the city centre by bus and rail.
King’s College is the only school in Madrid accredited by the Department for Education (DfE) in the UK as “Excellent” in every category, that offers a British Curriculum from 18 months to 18 years. To be recognised by the DfE, as a British School Overseas (BSO) means that the school must have an inspection report which shows that their performance against all the BSO standards is at least satisfactory. This reflects the standards required for continuing registration as a school in England.
At King’s College the school helps young people to develop their ambitions and to compete with their peers from across Europe, Asia and America. The school is renowned for every year sending its eighteen year-old leavers on to a wide variety of elite universities across the globe, including the UK, Spain, the USA and other European cities among others. Students carry with them impressive personal qualities which are essential for today’s increasingly competitive global job market. A British education gives alumni the best opportunities to work in
challenging and interesting careers all over the world.
In 2019, King’s College schools became members of Inspired, a leading global premium schools group operating in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, educating over 45,000 students across a global network of more than 64 schools.
