SEK International School Ciudalcampo, founded in 1975, is a private Spanish/English bilingual school located north of Madrid, in the Ciudalcampo residential estate.
Our school is part of SEK Education Group, with over 128 years of teaching experience and nine schools around the world whose origins are to be found in a free and independent century-old family tradition committed to offering high-quality education.
We offer the three International Baccalaureate Organisation programme, the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) alongside the Spanish national curriculum.
Our school also boasts the International Education Commission (CIE) and the Association of New England Colleges (NEASC) accreditations that are testament to the quality of SEK International Schools. Furthermore, we are members of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and have the recognition of ISTA, a specialised arts curriculum certification for international schools.
Since 2018, SEK-Ciudalcampo was the first Spanish school to obtain the Round Square excellence certification, an association that is made up of the most prestigious international schools and currently has 190 members worldwide. Its strategic objectives are to represent a global educational approach, establish a dynamic and interconnected network of schools and serve as a platform for future leaders.
We offer our 12 to 18-year-old students the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, an all-round personal development scheme focused on the development and training of skills.
With over 20,000 m² of facilities and a large outdoor sports complex that exceeds 10,000 m², our unique learning spaces are an international standard for the use of school space and teaching activity. Open and flexible spaces that generate an active methodology, turning classrooms into a place where students, from Early Childhood to Secondary School, can learn by sharing their experiences with peers and teachers. Students are the drivers of their own learning.
