Los Sauces Torrelodones School
Our educational program combines innovation, academic excellence, and a well-rounded education to prepare students for a global and ever-changing world. We nurture multilingual students who are technologically proficient and have a strong international outlook, thanks to immersion programs, exchange programs, and study abroad opportunities in Europe and the United States.
We are committed to continuously improving our methodologies and to an education that develops both academic talent and personal skills. To combat bullying, we implement the KIVA program, an international leader in this field.
Among our innovative teaching methods, cooperative learning stands out, as it fosters teamwork and active student participation. In addition, public speaking and debate are part of the curriculum, helping students develop the ability to express themselves with confidence, present arguments, and think critically.
The curriculum is complemented by a wide range of sports, music, and arts activities, which are essential for the well-rounded development of each student.
Our language program promotes bilingualism from the earliest stages of education through natural English language learning and the presence of bilingual and native-speaking teachers. Starting in 4th grade, students begin studying a second foreign language (French or German), broadening their academic and professional opportunities.
In addition, we offer the Dual High School Program, preparation for official language certifications, participation in international forums, and the International Baccalaureate program.
One of our most distinctive programs is the language immersion program in Ireland. Students from 5th grade through 2nd year of ESO travel to Bray every year for four weeks, where our Brook House school is located. There, they enjoy a unique linguistic, cultural, and personal immersion experience, using English as their language of communication in their daily lives.
We also have an international dormitory at our school in Pontevedra, which welcomes students of different nationalities into a family-like, international, and safe environment. We offer personalized attention in both academic matters and personal development and social interaction, fostering an enriching and international experience.

Several of our students participated in the ESO Extraordinary Awards, organized by the Community of Madrid, in recognition of the excellent results achieved by our high school students at the end of the school year and the academic stage.
*One of our students ranked 18th among the top 25 results in the aforementioned Extraordinary Awards.
On May 27, the final round of the Progrentis Reading Olympiad was held at the Goya Theater in Madrid. One of our 6th-grade students finished among the top 10 in Spain. The Reading Olympiad is an event organized by Progrentis and EIM Learning, aimed at promoting the habit of reading and a love of literature.
Our debate teams participated in tournaments organized by the CICAE Association of Private Schools in collaboration with Camilo José Cela University. This bilingual league—in Spanish and English—has grown to include more than 30 schools and 1,000 students, making it the largest of its kind in Europe. It offers a unique opportunity for students to develop their public speaking and effective communication skills, as well as to foster critical thinking, socialization, and an entrepreneurial spirit. One of our teams reached the final and was crowned champion in one of the preliminary qualifying tournaments held at San Patricio School in the city of Toledo.
